Apple Cake - Torta di mele

APPLE CAKE

TORTA DI MELE

(recipe from Italy)

Recipe from di buon gusto modified just a bit

INGREDIENTS:


  • 3 apples (golden)
  • 300 g flour
  • 1 bag of baking powder (or use flour with self raising agent on it)
  • 140 g sugar
  • 120 ml vegetable milk (soya, rise, etc.)
  • 120 ml  vegetable oil


PREPARATION:

Firstly, mix all the dry ingredient together. Starting from the center, add the liquids using a fork to mix all together.  
Cut the apples in half and take out the core (leave the peel in). Slice them really thinly, 1-2 mm thick. Place them in the cake dough around forming a little spirals. Don't worry if it doesn't look perfect, after cooking them it will be amazing the effect. They will look like roses!!!






Pre-heat oven to 180ºC.

Cook the cake for 40-45 minutes.
