HUMMUS


HUMMUS

Ingredients:

  • 1 can/jar of chickpeas or leave dry chickpeas in water for 12h, then boil them until tender with a bit of salt.
  • extra virgin olive oil
  • the juice of half medium size lemon
  • 1/2 or 1 clove of garlic 
  • tahini (sesam seed cream)
  • water
  • salt, pepper, cumin powder

Preparation:

Mix all the ingredients together and blend them with a stick blender. Add water until creamy. 

N.B. In this simple recipe it is fundamental the flavours of the lemon, the tahini and the spices.

N.B. I like to add sometime roasted garlic or/and roasted and crushed almonds or hazelnut.
